“true life is lived when tiny changes occur.” what a lovely quote that’s been so grossly weaponized by being paired with weight loss imagery.

while losing weight and getting fit can absolutely be important aspects of a wellness plan, the number on the scale is NOT the most informative indicator of your overall health.

and while the sentiment of the quote can be a great motivator in seeking both physical and spiritual wellness, to see it linked to a derivative and outdated idea of “health” in a physician’s office was disheartening and concerning.

what are some of your “aha!” moments about realizing that traditional beliefs about weight and weight loss did not have a place in a holistic approach to your or your patients’ health?
